NightWatch+ is ontworpen om mensen met epilepsie en hun verzorgers te ondersteunen door betrouwbare aanvalsdetectie te bieden tijdens de kwetsbare nachtelijke uren, wanneer toezicht een uitdaging is en stressvol kan zijn. Het maakt gebruik van geavanceerde PPG voor het volgen van de hartslag en een accelerometer voor lichaamspositie en beweging. Deze studieopzet maakte evaluatie mogelijk over langere perioden waar continue EEG niet haalbaar was. Om vertekeningen door gemiste aanvallen te minimaliseren, documenteerden zorgverleners waargenomen aanvallen. Geautomatiseerde hulpmiddelen, zoals bed sensoren en videoanalyse, ondersteunden de detectie. Daarnaast controleerden de verpleegkundigen willekeurig 5%-10% van de opnames voor extra verificatie.<\/p>\n<p>De onderzoeken tonen mediane gevoeligheden aan van 86% voor volwassenen en 100% voor kinderen voor alle belangrijke typen motorische aanvallen. Ze tonen mediane gevoeligheden aan van 96% voor volwassenen en 100% voor kinderen (&gt; 4 jaar) specifiek voor tonisch-clonische aanvallen. Het gemiddelde aantal valse alarmen was ongeveer 0,04 per uur. De percentages valse alarmen varieerden sterk tussen gebruikers en veel valse alarmen waren in feite kleine aanvallen die niet als nachtelijke motorische aanvallen werden aangemerkt.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;
