Bei den 8.200 st\u00e4ndigen Bewohnern von Philadelphia gibt es relativ viele Epilepsiepatienten. Dadurch haben sie viel Erfahrung bei der Betreuung von Menschen mit dieser Erkrankung und den damit verbundenen Herausforderungen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sind die medizinischen Pflegefachkr\u00e4fte bei Philadelphia f\u00fchrend bei der Erprobung und Umsetzung technologischer Innovationen im Pflegebereich, sofern diese eine wesentliche Verbesserung der Pflege darstellen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"_2GUhU\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/suzanne-rocher-ba125832\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Suzanne Rocher<\/a><span>, Standortleiterin: \u201eBis vor kurzem war es schwierig, Epilepsiepatienten nachts zu \u00fcberwachen. NightWatch bietet daf\u00fcr eine sehr willkommene L\u00f6sung. NightWatch ist ein Armband, das m\u00f6gliche epileptische Anf\u00e4lle w\u00e4hrend des Schlafes erkennt und die betreuende Person \u00fcber Funk alarmiert. So k\u00f6nnen beispielsweise Komplikationen oder Todesf\u00e4lle im Schlaf infolge eines epileptischen Anfalls reduziert werden. Nach vielen Jahren der Forschung und Entwicklung wurde NightWatch im vergangenen Jahr im Rahmen einer Crowdfunding-Kampagne auf den Markt gebracht.
