NightWatch wurde entwickelt, um Menschen mit Epilepsie und ihre Betreuungspersonen zu unterst\u00fctzen. Es soll durch eine zuverl\u00e4ssige Erkennung von Anf\u00e4llen die Betreuung in der Nacht, in der die Aufsicht oft schwierig und stressig ist, erleichtern. Dabei kommt eine fortschrittliche PPG-Technologie (Photoplethysmographie) zur Herzfrequenz\u00fcberwachung sowie ein 3D-Beschleunigungssensor zur Bestimmung der K\u00f6rperposition und Bewegung zum Einsatz. Als Referenzstandard diente dabei die manuelle Videoauswertung, die von speziell geschultem Pflegepersonal durchgef\u00fchrt wurde. Das Studiendesign erm\u00f6glichte eine Langzeitbewertung in Situationen, in denen ein kontinuierliches EEG nicht praktikabel war. Um m\u00f6gliche Verzerrungen durch \u00fcbersehene Anf\u00e4lle zu minimieren, dokumentierten die Pflegekr\u00e4fte alle beobachteten Anf\u00e4lle. Zus\u00e4tzlich unterst\u00fctzten automatisierte Hilfsmittel wie Bettsensoren und Videoanalysen die Detektion.Zur weiteren Qualit\u00e4tssicherung \u00fcberpr\u00fcften die Studienpfleger stichprobenartig 5\u201310 % der Videoaufzeichnungen nochmals manuell.<\/p>\n<p><span>In den klinischen Studien wurden mediane Sensitivit\u00e4ten f\u00fcr die wichtigsten motorischen Anfallstypen ermittelt: 86 % bei Erwachsenen und 100 % bei Kindern. Speziell bei tonisch-klonischen Anf\u00e4llen wurde eine mediane Sensitivit\u00e4t von 96 % bei Erwachsenen und 100 % bei Kindern (\u00fcber 4 Jahre alt) ermittelt. Die durchschnittliche Fehlalarmrate lag bei 0,04 pro Stunde. Die gemessenen Fehlalarmraten variierten stark zwischen den Nutzern; viele Fehlalarme konnten als kleinere Anf\u00e4lle identifiziert werden, die nicht den Kriterien f\u00fcr schwere n\u00e4chtliche motorische Anf\u00e4lle entsprachen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8220;1_3&#8243;
