Weltweit sind Millionen von Menschen von Epilepsie betroffen, und viele erleben Anf\u00e4lle, die durch Medikamente nicht vollst\u00e4ndig kontrolliert werden k\u00f6nnen. Pflegekr\u00e4fte stehen unter enormem Stress und sehen sich gro\u00dfen Herausforderungen gegen\u00fcber, wenn es darum geht, rechtzeitig Unterst\u00fctzung zu leisten, insbesondere nachts. Vor diesem Hintergrund begannen die niederl\u00e4ndischen Epilepsiezentren SEIN und Kempenhaeghe mit bahnbrechender Forschung zur n\u00e4chtlichen Epilepsieerkennung, wobei sie sich von der \u00dcberwachung von Bewegungsmustern hin zur Analyse von Herzfrequenz und Bewegung entwickelten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Im Jahr 2011 wurde das Tele-Epilepsie-Konsortium gegr\u00fcndet, das das UMC Utrecht, die Technische Universit\u00e4t Eindhoven, SEIN, Kempenhaeghe, Patientengruppen und EpilepsieNL vereint. Gemeinsam entwickelten sie ein innovatives System, das Pflegekr\u00e4fte aus der Ferne vor klinisch dringenden Anf\u00e4llen warnt und eine einfache, aber wirksamen L\u00f6sung sowohl f\u00fcr den professionellen als auch f\u00fcr den h\u00e4uslichen Bereich bietet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Aufbauend auf jahrelanger Zusammenarbeit wurde LivAssured im Jahr 2013 gegr\u00fcndet, um diese lebensver\u00e4ndernde Technologie auf den Markt zu bringen. Im Kern steht ein einzigartiger Algorithmus, der klinisch dringende Anf\u00e4lle durch die Analyse von Herzfrequenz- und Bewegungsmustern erkennt. Seit der Markteinf\u00fchrung im Jahr 2018 hat sich NightWatch zu einer f\u00fchrenden L\u00f6sung weltweit entwickelt \u2013 mit Tausenden von Nutzerinnen und Nutzern.
